Final EQ

I've learned a lot about Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Flash and iMovie.  I enjoyed Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator the most because they are the most user friendly.  Flash was the opposite of user friendly and I just wasn't very good at iMovie.

This is, by far, my favorite creation.  I made it using Adobe Illustrator.  I used a few of the preset shapes that had many colors in them.  Then, I used some of the editing tools, "warp" in particular, to create the psychedelic look in the background.  Then, I used the text tool to type the word "rad".  Finally, I used some of the editing tools, such as "twirl" and "crystalize" to make the word look the way it does.

This is my second favorite creation even though it was one of the first ones I ever made.  I created it in Photoshop and it was rather simple.  I took a photo of Jeremy as the background layer.  Then, I added a new layer over it and used the pencil tool to trace the prominent features.  I took a lot of time and added details in his lips, hair and eyebrows.  I also traced the wrinkles in his hoodie.

This is my third favorite creation.  I've always found Polaroid cameras amazing because they not only capture a moment, but they can also print it almost instantly.  It was created in Adobe Illustrator.  I began with a picture from the Internet.  Then, I added a new layer and began tracing the outline.  It was difficult because I was tracing with the same color as the actual photo so I had to continuously hide the background to make sure it was looking good.  After the outline was finished, I colored in the spaces I wanted to dark.  Then, I added the color stripes.  Most Polaroid cameras do not have these stripes,  but I was inspired by the Instagram logo.  Then, I wrote the name of my business on the printing photo.  It was difficult to create because I drew it really small at first, but as I began to use it for things, it needed to be larger.  So as I expanded it, I had to continuously fill in the white space that was created.  I didn't want it to look real.  I wanted it to look like a cartoon camera, and I think that is what it looks like so I'm proud of it.
